In fact, most overweight people don't actually overeat, and need not cut their overall calorie consumption. You can take your healthy snack with you on a quick walk instead of sitting in the employee break room.

A great tip that can help you fight stress is to show gratitude for what you have each and every day. Doing this daily will remind you that you're blessed and it will keep you in good spirits. You might start appreciating things you've never even thought of before.

The way cities are encroaching upon fields & forests there is a dire need to preserve the greenery for more reasons than one. Planned gardens are the lungs of habitation. They not only give joy to walkers but also allow rain-water to flow away without entering houses. If man wants to live in peace & harmony, he will have to respect nature.

Thrilled research is continuing on the positive effects of Nature. Now should we focus on what type of Nature? Isn't a thorny natural garden in Arizona Nature? From my own experience I feel more stress free walking among Maples and Oaks in Wisconsin than thorny small leafed shrubs in Arizona and cactus in Western Colorado. I also enjoy strolling among the prairies of Oklahoma more than the deserts of Utah. All are "nature" but I'm more comfortable in some than others.

I love the comment–> Let’s properly vegetate our city streets!

In the Netherlands we have 'stoeptuinen'. These are small garden spots in the pavement near the houses. Permission of the government is granted to remove some square stones from the pavement and put plants to beautify the environment. They look gorgeous and it is a very easy and attractive way to get people involved in the creation and care for their environment.

I am an advocate and designer of gardens and landscapes from the philosophy of Feng Shui. Everything is energy. Color, texture, smell, shape, air, energy can be experienced in all seasons when using suitable plants, shrubs and trees. The space will come alive, breathe harmony, inspire people and give joy.
With garden love, Mariëtte
