More localized food growth, less energy wasted on transporting food to cities, more income generation for local building owners with local jobs created, stormwater and heat island mitigation…

I hope that the recently proposed changes to New York’s zoning laws favoring green roofs and rooftop greenhouses will help foster this kind of development.
