For Matt Boehner, ASLA, PLA, a pivotal moment came in 1987 when his architect father designed a wheelchair-accessible miniature golf course for a local Dairy Queen franchise. This experience sparked Matt’s passion for park and golf course design, leading him to pursue a degree in landscape architecture. He joined ASLA as a student and attended his first ASLA Conference in Oregon. Walking around Portland, he knew public practice was his calling—designing spaces for everyone to enjoy.
